I have to admit I was curious to see what the reaction would be in the fourth quarter if Baltimore was running away with their game and the Jets were eliminated...the cheering for the Carpenter FG was pretty loud, among other things. Maybe the Jet fans just left by then but it's pretty ironic Chad got more support now than he did last year.

meh at that point we were eliminated and it was clear the Jets were not playing as hard once Baltimore went up big.

if the Jets had anything at stake then cheering for Chad would be bad

After the Ravens won there was no issue pulling for the Dolphins.

No issue for me either, but I saw some other posts whining about it so figured people'd be pretty split on this issue.

If I was there I'm pretty sure I couldn't bring myself to cheer, but I have to admit I got a kick out of the reaction watching on TV. Especially since it will embarass management that much further.

    I am old school.

    I HATE the Dolphins.

There is no team I hate more than them.

All Chad did by signing with them was prove how much he hates the New York Jets, so screw Chad Pennington, now and forever. He's just another turncoat.

I never thought I'd see a game where NYJ fans cheered for the 'fins.

    This is the absolute worst.

I don't usually like to attack people's posts, but this has to be one of the dumbest things I've ever seen posted here. The Jets totally fucked him over and you get on his case for signing with the Dolphins. Amazing.

You had me until you criticized Pennington. He was dumped by the Jets and had no obligation to not play for any team. The Dolphins were his best shot to start... good for him.

As much as I hate the fins there isn't a more deserving guy than Chad who while he took all the shit he did in NY, he was a class act the whole time. I'm happy for him. Also fuck Belichek who can sit home now

I was rooting for Chad all game and I had a hunch Farve would throw a few picks as usual, Jets got what they asked for throwing Chad under the bus like they did, and no way I wanted to see the pats make the playoffs,

    Go Fish!!

I agree, but he's been all over the place with his posts all day. cant take him seriously.

Chad got a little revenge on mangina today, who obviously did not want him to be his QB this season. The fans who were cheering Chad are probably the same fans who want mangina fired.

Actually, it's another low point for the Jets organization.

Sorry, rooting for the Dolphins before the Jets were eliminated just means you're not a Jet fan.

I think it is sad to cheer against our team period. It was also sad that we dropped a pick 6 on Chad that was right in one of our defender's numbers. Another int was called back. If our D could have played semi-respectable, Chad would have had a poor game.

And if Ricky hadn't dropped a pass right in the mitts Chad would have had 3 TD's and close to 300 yards.

I have no problem admitting I hate the Patriots far more than the Dolphins...Don Shula is no longer in Miami but Billy B is still in NE.

I'm happy that Chad was able to find success elsewhere because I just don't think he would have done the same here. But I don't see how any self-respecting Jets fan could root for their team to lose to the Dolphins.

Yep, BB and the Pats have to take a seat from the playoffs this year... but both the coach and the team can hold their heads high and say they got the absolute most out of what they had. Minus Brady, Maroni, Harrison, Thomas, most of the year, and Bruschi, and tehir starting D linemen for chunks of the year, they sucked it up and went 11-5.

Still easier to be a Pats fan than a Jet fan.
