hate to say it but it's really just jets football. I actually feel comforted that in this world of economic collapse, sub prime meltdown, war, snow in vegas, one thing is consistent...the jets.

ps. pennington would've easily got them to 9-7 as well.

This is bullshit. I'm sorry, but coaching is what killed them this year, not Favre.

It's a shame cause if you cut the turnovers in half they probably win the division easily.

The asshole Jets fans who insisted we get rid of Pennington lost us the division!

You dont think that if PSL's were not a question the Jets would have made the move ... no

And the Jets would have won with Penny

We'll never know.... the thing is Favre began struggling and Mangini made no adjustments, not to mention the number of other mistakes he has made this season. Favre to retire, Mangini to be fired... that would make a nice start of offseason.

We're gonna find out if New York's got regrets,
For putting Brett Favre in charge of the Jets,
Cause Pennington is coming to town,

It's Christmas for Chad cause he gets to face,
The quarterback by which he was replaced,
Yeah Pennington is coming to town,

    He knows about Mangini,
    He's protected by big Jake,
They wondered if Chad's bad or good,
Well he's good for goodness sake,

We're gonna find out if New York's got regrets,
For putting Brett Favre in charge of their Jets,
Yeah Pennington is coming to town,

The Jets signed Brett and sent Chad away,
Now thanks to the Fins he's proved he can play,
    Pennington is coming to town,

His arm is not a cannon,
    That makes a defense quake,
Some say he's like Rich Gannon,
But hey he's good for goodness sake,

We're gonna find out if New York's got regrets,
For putting Brett Favre in charge of the Jets,
    Cause Pennington is coming...
    Pennington is coming...
Chad Pennington is coming to town...

Get ready for Chad to lose 30-3 next week. Big deal.

Yes the Jet defense wasn't great this year. However, Miami's "D" wasn't much better. As I have stated before the Jets and Miami defense both had the same amount of Total Points (Points Against - Points Scored). Favre , although he was a Great QB, just simply was the #1 reason why the Jets failed down the stretch. Call the coaching staff #1A if you'd like.

Today was a perfect example. Whether the coaching / play calling was questionable is besides the point. Favre's INT were HIS fault - not Mangini's - and those plays practically gave the game away to the Dolphins.

favre was the reason we lost... plain and simple, we finally built the team to win with chad, and we blew it.

Chad was better than favre this whole season, how can you defend him anymore?

Pennington only won the division because the weather is better for his shoulder down there. He goes from the last 5 home games in the cold a year to maybe 3 cold away games all year, which has to help him out somehow.

He wouldn't have done it here.
