My God! The QB has held us back this year. How about also throwing in the coaching, the playcalling, the PASS f'n DEFENSE, the RUN DEFENSE the past 3 games, the WR's, the LACK of Leon Washington, etc. I've noticed a lot your posts revolve around blaming the whole season on Favre. Maybe something to do with still being bitter about Pennington leaving? And overall, the Favre defending is out of control too. He HAS sucked the past few weeks - maybe its an injury, who cares. But he has sucked, he's not playing at the same level as last year or his capabilities. BUT he is not the sole reason we're losing, thats a bias view of people that have other "agendas".
Yep. one of the things i was thinking about this week as i read thru the board, is that there must be a correlation between Chad "haters" who wanted him gone and so were happy they brought Favre in, and the Penny fans who were upset to see CP go, and didnt want Favre here to begin with.
JUNC is pretty easy to figure out. He refuses to acknowledge the crappiness of the defense(which has been crappy all season) because his sole mission is to blame everything on Favre.
I totally agree with this statement but, what the hell can I do as a fan? Just support the NY Jets is all I can do. Even though it can be a strain on my emotions at times I Gotta Love me some Jets!
My agenda is winning. I just want to win, I praised Favre for that short stretch where he played really well but unfortunately he hasn't done it enough and his poor play has killed us. You think all of a sudden our O goes from good to sucks b/c of the OC? b/c of the WRs? It's the QB! Favre has been atrocious, if we got decent QB play the last month we'd be in great shape. It's not all on him as the D has stunk too but the D picked up the O most of the season, couldn't the O pick up the D for a few games? The bottom line is w/ better QB play this year we have already clinched our division. Favre wasn't exactly put in a great situation but he's the one who whined his way out of GB so he takes responsibility as well. Early in the year we played poorly but he was getting used to new players and a new system, midseason it looked like he had it figured out and we were rolling but the last month he ran out of gas and he has cost us a very promising season. There is nothing I hope for today than for NE to lose and for Favre to lead us to a win and we win the division. I will forgive him if that happens but unless that happens he cannot be forgiven unless he comes back one more year and makes up for the mess he caused this year.

Big time coaches also come up big at the stretch run of the season. Nobody who is employed by the Jets has come up smaller than Mangini.
