These teams make quick reactions after another team makes a big move. Manny back to Boston anybody?
I wonder who the Yankees will move now to free up some bucks..if anybody. There was talk about that they might move one or two if they did sign him.
Angels announce they will not sign Manny. Where does that leave him? That original Dodgers deal I guess. If they still want him.
Dude, that was brutal. Ruined my Saturday. The best part was Lupul scoring first, if you remember, he scored last to end our season last year. I kind of blocked out the other 6 goals. haha.
The only guys getting moved right now are Melky Cabrera and Brett Gardner. Gardner might get a chance to stick around for a late-inning substitution stint, but Melky's days have to be done at this point. And I don't think the Steinbrenners had a thing to do with Teixeira.
I actually kind of like Cena a little bit now. Did you see RAW last night? Pretty funny when Santino called him John Chena. Even Cena laughed. I did laugh harder when I saw we signed Teixeira though. A lot harder. So, what do you think? Manny a Yankee too? That would be pretty sweet.
No way in the world Cashman has the authority to spend 180 million dollars on anybody. Nor does any GM. That was one or both of the Steinbrenners doing that.
Well thats how the old jerseys were, so I can see why they included it. I can't decide who to get though...Briere, Timonen or Richards... hmmm...
The Yankees should see Torre has any interest in Matsui and Melky and try to send them over there. Then sign Manny. Perfect offseason complete.

Do I think he didn't say something to Hank and Hal? No. Do I think he "asked permission"? Fuck no. Damn Don, Cashman can't do anything you'll give him credit for. That's ridiculous.
Matsui was one of the names mentioned for trade if they signed Teixiera. The thing is they might have to pay half his nut if they do so I don't see any benefit.
Richards is my favorite player now, but I like Briere a lot just because I saw him play about 75% of his AHL games and he was the Falcons best player. For Jersey purposes though, Briere's number is too ugly.
