THE JETS CAN MAKE THE PLAYOFFS. Are you darksiders only happy when things go wrong? You do realize we beat the Titans at TN and the Patriots at NE, right? You do realize that the NFL is a game of wins and losses, ups and downs, celebration and agony, right?

That being said, all we have to do is beat Miami and hope the Pats or Ravens lose...which is VERY likely to happen. Let's beat the shit out of the Dolphins, knock their asses out, and show the league that this team is on the up and up and maybe even a playoff darkhorse.

One of my favorite bands was always 311 ...and they have a song with lyrics that go, "F#CK THE NAYSAYERS CUZ THEY DON'T MEAN A THING!"

So cheer for the NYJ or quit wasting your time on this BB...I don't get all the BS floating around on here when we aren't even out of the playoffs yet. YOU KEEP MOVING FORWARD, ALWAYS.

    Anything's possible.

I would have preferred if they still controlled their own destiny, but they blew that oportunity.

Yes they can, but I'm not happy about what happened. Do you see the same team that beat those teams? This isn't a team with much to celebrate about, you must be a new Jets fan like me, only knowing the late 90's to the present.

Pats and Ravens losing to the Bills or Jags.... that is not likely at all. Its the Pats and Ravens, have you watched them all year? They are good football teams.

I agree with the very last sentence.

i will say as a new darksider that one thing i have learned this season is where the darksiders are coming from...i never got it...but i do now...

its not that they like when shit goes wrong or they don't root for the team...because they do....they just are used to constant dissapointment and simply expect the worst because the worst has always happened....

7 pro bowlers and about to get nixed from the post season

if the jets had lost last week to the steelers thats one thing...but to lose to the broncos/49ers/seattle in 3 of 4 weeks is downright disgraceful and an utter collapse...

i really do hope the jets back into the playoffs...

but you know what? they don't deserve to be there..

If the Jets make the playoffs Mangini has a better chance of keeping his job and we lose a high round pick.

No i dont want to see the Jets lose to Miami. But it SHOULDNT HAVE COME DOWN TO THIS. Jets dont deserve the playoffs, nuff said. And if they do some how beat Miami and get help. They will get destroyed by whoever they play in the wild card game. Same old Jets. Hope im wrong.

Ok, so let's say they somehow get lucky, kinda like during the Herman Edwards days, and make the playoffs. What's then? Do you really think that this sorry ass team is capable of beating a real playoff team? They will lose in the first round. Will you feel better then? Will it make you feel better that this sorry ass joke of a coach named Eric Mangini will stay for at least another year and we, Jets fans, continue watching this mediocrity? The likes of you will continue being happy when this team has a winning record and then loses in the playoffs. I want this team to go all the way at least once in my lifetime. They are not going to win it all with Mangini as their head coach. He just can't deliver the goods. This is just another Herman Edwards-like clown and the sooner he's out of here the better it is for this team!

Yeah, despite all that, I'd like to see the Jets make the playoffs. But it's a moot point. It's not going to happen.

Now... hold on for a sec.

What's the point of making it to the playoff? To have a painless and quick exit at the earliest possible moment?

The only thing mitigating my attitude is that at least one of my sports teams at any point in time is usually performing competently. Right now, that one team is not the Jets.

Why are the Pollyannas always the militant fans who think they can tell all the other fans how to act?

If the Pats win and Ravens win before we kickoff, a scenario which is not unlikely, I hope we lose to the Dolphins.

I'd rather watch the Fish make it to the playoffs than Patriot scum. It would merely be the lesser of two evils, I know; but the contempt I currently have for Beli-cheat-at-football-and-on-my-wife and his Junior Seau and Rodney Harrison-led band of arrogant thugs is at or above the level generally reserved for pedophiles and rapists.

This will be a nightmare scenario for us:

    1) Win, and we hand the Pats the Division title and another playoff berth
    2) Lose, and Chad and the Fish make a trip to the playoffs, off a 1-15 season, courtesy of us.

    Thanks, Mangenius!!

I'm trying to cross back over as i went to the darkside right after halftime. It's hard for me living in southern NJ now and having to go to these so called sprots bars that monopolize every TV with the Eagles, after having to request the Jets. I sat alone the only Jets fan, watching the snow fall and hoping each time we got the ball back we would score. After we did nothing on our first set of downs. iI paid my check and left and listened on sirius to the rest of the game. My only pleasure was that the Eagles lost
and the whole area is just miserable football fans right now, like me. Even though I wanted to see the Eagles win, it's hard when the team I'm so passionate about loses to 3 out of 4.
