I dont want to lose to the phins and be the laughing stock of the league. Pennington will just have to play a decent game and if they win they will carry him off the field on their sholders. He is, without a doubt, their MVP. Our QB is, without a doubt, the weak link in our offense. I see red when i think about this.
I didnt know that if the ravens lost and we won we would be in im sorry Still tho, if we win but dont get in the playoffs, nothing will change and we will stay in mediocrity
I will clap for Chad when he first appears and then I will root for the Jets if the Pats lose or root for the Jets and watch the scoreboard if the Pats will. People may disagree about Chad but I simply cannot fathom how you don't root for your team. It's absolutely mindblowing that someone would.
the jags are a horrible football team. after the patriots have beaten the bills by 70 at 1pm and the ravens are up by 3 scores at halftime i'll start rooting for the jets to lose, because no jets fan can honestly tell me that they hate this dolphins team more then this patriots team and would rather see the pats in the playoffs.
The Jets will beat Miami and NE & Baltimore will both win...So NE will win the division again. I want the Jets to make the playoffs but this is the way I see things working out.
I agree, in all likelihood nothing will change. This team is playing terribly. Still, you have to root for them to make the playoffs and hope they somehow right the ship. As unrealistic as it may be, as a fan you have to continue to hope or you're not really a fan anymore.
Good point, I agree I hate the Patriots much more, too bad the Phins have to play the Jets week 17 and I have to cheer for a Jets win and a Patriots division win despite all of their injuries this season.
I can't root for the Jets to lose ever, but if it shakes out that way Miami winning the division over NE is a silver lining and props to Chad. Buffalo can do us all a favor and make it a moot point, they have played well the past two weeks.
No way sameoldjets2008, Do you really want the Dolphins to win the division? At least with the patsies they will have a chance to go further. The only reason why the fins are there is because we choked and they had an easy schedule. The Jets need to smash Miami right in the mouth and hope for a Ravens loss.
Are you guys real football fans? You would really want to watch a hapless team like the dolphins play in a playoff game, instead of a team that has a chance in the patsies? The dolphins will be 1 and out assured. True the pats and all Boston teams are rivals but I would rather the BEST teams go for the championship, and enjoy watching the close games instead of seeing blowouts. To give away a football game is worse than losing to SF, oakland, and Seattle combined. And if I was a pats front office guy I would be all over the Jets to see if they were in collusion. Nah, I say we beat the crap outta the Fins and hope for the best, instead of being investigated for collusion and losing draft picks......
on second though, if NE wins, we still have another chance. We need to win regardless. Then hope that NE or Baltimore loses...and I don't think either one of these are happening. Im gonna root for Chad on Sunday and I might not be as sick as yesterday!!!
I am a Jets fan. I am not an anti-pats fan. I am not an anti-dolphag fan. Sometime my Jets fandom may cause me to root against those two teams, but only because I'm a Jets fan. If we are out of the playoffs, I don't give a shit who is in. I know I won't EVER be rooting for the Jets to lose to the dolphins.
I'll be cheering for the Dolphins. Jets: 8-3 -> 9-6 Dolphins: 2-4 -> 10-5 We'll see how Favre plays in the last game of his career. I'm guessing he'll end the season like he always does, with an interception. AJ Feeley: 2nd round pick Daunte Culpepper: 2nd round pick Joey Harrington: 6th round pick Trent Green: 5th round pick Chad Pennington: PRICELESS
