I don't think this would be the fair way to do it as Favre is in Football shape and Vinny is on his couch. Not to mention the obvious: Favre is 6 years younger than Vinny. (45-39) And those six years are at a period in life where your body really starts to age.

just something to think about, Favre was recruited as a defensive back for college and ran an option offense in high school, so yeah in his young days he was pretty quick. Actually, I think i heard somewhere that he ran a 4.8 40 out of college, so pretty fast for a QB (Jay Cutler is the perfect Favre comparison).
Great post. That's why I said in my first post that if it were Favre and Vinny in their respective athletic primes, Vinny would get his ass kicked. Favre carried that over into being one of the best scramblers in the league for the first 4 or 5 years of his career.
favre was definitely faster in his prime than vinny. vinny was not terribly slow but was anything but a speed demon. as old men, i would take favre too. although if vinny ever caught him he would beat favres ass, that son of a bitch was jacked up at 40 years old!!!! strong as hell too.
A DB at a lower level college is a HUGE difference than a DB at a big time school(especially in those days).

I was out there drinking Gentleman Jack by 10 am. My favorite part of the play was the O-lineman breaking down to block nobody and the only remaining defender running by him to prevent the TD. I'm sure some of the older guys will remember Joe Namath running the same play late in his career, in 1974 against the Giants in a regular season game at the Yale Bowl. The Jets were inside the Giants' 5 at the end of the game, Namath actually called a handoff to Boozer in the huddle, so the whole offense sold the fake perfectly. Boozer said later he thought he fumbled it, Joe jogged around to the left all by himself and literally walked in for the TD. That sent the game to OT and Joe won it with a TD pass to Boozer.
whats great about jack is it makes it impossible to hit a high five with anybody without slapping them in the face. i got a small kid in the eye once. oh well that'll learn him to stay away from adults when they're lit up.
Yeah, everyone is moving too fast and you have to reach over rows and stuff. My in-game high fives are often disasterous.
still, your not going to have a slow DB and its not like Southern Miss is that small. It is still D1 and Favre beat 6th rank Florida St as a junior. Anyways, my point was that at one time Favre was considered fast for a QB.
