SF and Oak were timing issues. Both teams were just getting into stride with their New HC.

We both need to win and get to week 17 to shake out NE.

Yes, I really want to see the Phins win this weekend, for that very reason. Even if we lose I want to see them win.

Not me. I would much rather NE win the division than Miami. Although this is dumb to even mention since the Jets will take it. Also, puddnhead, you overrate Miami's defense. The Jets can do what they want to it.

I don't want to see the Pats take the division. Aren't you tired of that? I wouldn't under estimate our defense.

Maybe I'm underrating the Jets offense ... :)

Also, you serious, you don't want Miami to win if we don't? What is it, a "can't stand to lose to the team that picked up Chad" thing, or something else?

You realize that the only way Miami wins is if they beat us, right? So if it comes down to Miami or NE, it's already assumed that Chad's team has killed our playoffs, whether they or NE wins the division. If that's the case, why not be happy about seeing him & his "rescued from the grave" team keep playing?

Any jet fan rooting for the dolphins or pats to win any of their last 2 games has issues or just love chad too much. I want them both to lose and am not thinking about us losing the div.

If we get in and another
East team gets in I rather it be the pats. They're missing key players on d and cassel has 0 post season exp, chad at least has been there b4 and knows what to expect.

If this team isn't going to the sb I don't care who reps the afc as long as it isn't the pats or phins

This is some inevitable bitch-made tripe-ass B.S. Jets need to stop this embarassment.... Noodle coming back to bite us up in Fish mode? MUST BE AVOIDED. We have more talent and should win this f*ckin' game.... Despite recent struggles I'm expecting WIN OUT.

I think the Jets are the better team and will match up very well against the Fish. Unfortunately we're also bipolar and at times mildly retarded so it could be a close game.

It really depends which Jets team shows up, if it is the one that we have seen during their 5 game win streak then Miami might as well start making plans for the offseason. If it is the team we have seen the last 3 weeks it is anyones game. I do feel good about our chances especially considering the game will most likely be in prime time in the freezing cold, not exactly prime weather for Pennington and the Phins. To be perfectly hnest though I am much more concerned about this Seattle game, I feel if we take care of business out west there will be no stopping us at home.

The scenario I'm most worried about is the exact opposite. Jets blow the Seattle game then do a last stand just so Pennington doesn't get in. This sends BB and Cassel to the playoffs and down goes the media blowing BB for "losing Brady and STILL making the playoffs blah blah blah"

I don't think about the Jets/Dolphins matchup yet. Jets need to beat Seattle first.

You are relatively new to this team and this board, so I will cut you some slack. Before the Patriots cheated their way to a mock dynasty, our most hated rival, across the board, was the Dolphins. I can't stand the Pats and their fans, but I will always hate the Dolphins more than any other AFCE team. This has little to do with Chad for me.

Scared because of the ultimate heartbreak factor.

But we have owned the Fish for about a decade now so I am kinda confident. As confident as a Jet fan can be.

Our defense knows Penny pretty well... too well for Penny's own good. That was a big factor in our first game and the same holds for this one.

Those floaters in late December's swirling winds are a huge factor.

Who was our QB for most of those wins?

I remember the fish moving down the field at the end of the game early in the season, and actually being in position to win it at the end. That was too close for comfort, and I think the game will be close again.

We have to play this game 'till the final second. The only reason the first Miami game was remotely close was because our Defense assumed that we had it in the bag and gave up in the 4th quarter. We can't do that this time around. Plus, I hope every goddamn person in the Meadowlands boos the hell out of Chad. He won't know what to do with all that pressure.

Man, you just never know where this kind of thing is going to crop up around here.

Who cares what the media say?

As someone said above, the only thing Jet fans need to think about is that both NE and the fish suck, and we should hope they both lose as many games as possible. Equally or not is not worth debating - it's close enough that it doesnt matter.
