Great just what the Jets need. A "win one for the Gipper" game.

This is Holmgren's last home game before he steps down. He has a long history with Favre. Lets all hope Favre doesn't get all emotional and take a sack so Holgren can go out a winner

I don't like the feel of this game at all coming up. It has all the emotional momentum going in Seattle's favor. Add that to a 0-3 WC record and this game might be the one that stops the train. If this Jets team and CS were mentally tougher, I would feel better but from what they've shown over the last 3 weeks, I wonder if they can win this game no matter what's riding on it..

the game is on the west coast...immediatly, that raises a red flag.

The Jets will have to scratch and claw their way to victory in this game.

I don't put a whole lot in this. I think we match up well against the Seahawks and should be able to take care of business regardless of whether or not this is Holmgren's last home game.

They haven't played hard for Holmgren all year and he hinted was going to coach again anyway so this isn't his last game as a coach. That shouldn't play a factor in this game, our guys SHOULD be more desperate and want it more.

Well I guarantee you Holmgren won't be giving any gifts out with the game in hand and 2 minutes to go.

Seneca Wallace's ability to run kind of scares me. It's time for the Jets to get back to playing good football.

I take less from the Seattle 'emotional' factor than I do from our startling lack of tackling against the Bills. Our run defense was the foundation of our success and it has looked like crap for 3 weeks.

The Jets will need to score at least 27 to win this.

Holmgren's last home game; Jets need A+ game this week

Not that anyone is overlooking Seattle this week in anticipation of the Miami game, but learning that this will be the emotional farewell for Mike Holmgren really scares me. The man has been with Seattle for the better half of this decade, took the team to SB against Pitt and is clearly admired by the city despite this seasons fall off.

I can see the team playing out of their mind to get him one last W in front of the crazy seattle fans.

This is just the kind of shit that can put a dagger in our season. I am actually worried more about seattle than miami at this point. I really hope this is not a payback from ten years ago when Vinny Testes was clearly stopped short of the goaline and we were rewarded the TD. You know what they say, what goes around comes around, and when it comes around it usually carries a weight that none of us will be able to bear.

Playing a balls-to-the-wall wounded animal with nothing to lose always scares the living poop out of me.

I was actually gonna post this in the NFL Replay thread after watching Losman take off on a couple of plays. Wallace is way faster and more athletic than Losman is and that scares the shit out of me.

Our running game has disappeared and Julius Jones is averaging about 5 yards a carry with Morris not that far behind. Big boy Duckett will be tough to stop on those 3rd and short. I wasn't scared of Buffalo (even tho my attitude changed a couple of times during the game) but this game right here is what worried me as our ticket into the Playoffs. Let's hope the Jets are ready.

What I like about this 2-game stretch is that both opponents will be playing like it's a playoff game. If we get hot now, we may be able to make a good push into the postseason.

Good point. You win games this time of year because you are good not because you play bad teams or get lucky. Oops what happened last week; we got lucky. OK, we certainly used up any allotment of luck last week. Now, it is show time.

I like the fact that the goal is very well defined now--win out and win the division, no help, no conditions. Generally you don't look ahead of the next game, but when you have two games in front of you for the division crown, you should be coming out focused. Same could be said for last week and they did come out focused, they just didn't sustain it when Buffalo pushed back.

I see this completely different than you guys. I think this game has a good feel. Favre and Holmgren back together. Seahawks with most of their good players OUT. I can't see Holmgren getting in Favre's way of a playoff birth. I see it more of a Favre saying "Hey Coach, we need this." And Holmgren saying okay Brett. He won't stand in Favre's way of winning a division especially at 3-11.

No way this game comes down to a fumble recovery for a TD to win the game when were trailing and Seattle is running out the clock.
