Except the part where Chad has 14 TDs and Farve has 21. Welcome this week where Favre got outplayed again.

"Chad hasn't outplayed Favre ever this season". The debate is over right there. You lose on fanboyism. The last 3 games Favre has 1 TD and 6 INTs. Almost everyone in the league outplayed him.

How many TD's would Farve have in Miami? How many INTs?

Yes... but does Chad get it into the ENDZONE more than Favre?

Teams drop their entire defenses back against us? I haven't seen that. In fact, Bilicheat showed that if you play us tight and force us to throw deep you can stop our passing game. Reference the last three weeks.

Yes 21 TDs is great. To bad 6 of them came in one win and didn't carry over into the raider game.

Also, if QB Rating is such a good indicator. Then we should be think that the

following players are elite, because they all have better ratings than Favre.

Would you seriously want Matt Schaub or Shaun Hill over Favre?

    Jeff Garcia (10 TDs)
    Matt Schaub (13 TDs)
    Shaun Hill (10 TDs)
    Aaron Rodgers (23 TDs)

and by the way, three of those teams are out of the playoffs, and TB is

hoping for a wildcard spot, but at least the QB ratings look good.

    Context is Key.

That was a Pro Favre argument.

    Reading is Fundamental.

    I have been defending Favre.

    21 TD's.

Remind me again how many time Jones got into the EZ last year, when we had no threat at QB.

I believe has 14 more than last year, with two games to go.

Your Pro ChinaDoll argument is beyond ridicule.

Look junc, 6 of them did come in 1 game, but that doesn't negate the facts. How many times has Chad thrown for 4 TDs in a game? 5 TDs? 6 TDs? Or even better, 3 TDs?

Really, it's absurd to even compare the two.

The problem last year was the O line, which has become obvious this year. The entire team only ran for six TDs, two were by the QBs. Look no further than that.

    Thats only PART of it.

We dont see 8 or 9 in the box ever.

With Ole noodle arm we never saw less than 8.

Then why is Miami having success running the ball? How did Curtis Martin win a rushing title with Chad at QB in 2004?

I've stopped comparing these two. Two different teams/quarterbacks. It does affect the Jets more long term b/c looking at 09 who do you have at QB? It sure won't be Favre. While Miami will have more of a stable future at the position. This was a "go for it now" move, which as a JETS fan I am ok with, but the consequences can turn us into the Chicago Bears in a hurry.

I have seen people call you a smart poster and I am kind of wondering why?

Brett Favre and our amazing deep passing game is the reason for Jones' improvment over last season. Did you happen to notice who we got in the offeseason that wasn't selling acid reducers at NFL.com

I didnt say the entire reason for.

But the simple fact is We don't see 8 or 9 in the box.

(And btw in the box is not specific to the Deep ball, it's the area INSIDE the numbers)

Put 9 in the box, and Coles or Cothery takes a 3 yard out for 40 yards. Thats what opens up the LoS, for the OLine to be effective.

It's one of the reasons that TJ was only getting 3.5 even on good blcoking days last year.

This becomes a ridiculous argument if in the end the Dolphins end up winning the division, or even beating us out for a playoff spot. What good does it do us if he puts up more TD's and we still end up losing in the end? Personally, I want a QB that gets us in the endzone more, but the last several games that QB has not been Favre. He's been consistently shaky now for several games.

Remind me again, when did he have shoulder surgery?

And do you mean to say Miami is better running the ball than we are?

Every since the second half of the last NE game we see 8 in the box all the time. I dont know where you get this crap from. Stopping our pasing game has basically come down to teams forcing Favre to beat them long. And it has been working.

However, our running game has improved because our O line can actually run block this year.

Did I say that? I gave you two examples to blow up the old "8 in the box" theory as to why it's Chad's fault the running game sucked last year. If it was Chad's fault then he would never have a good running game behind him.

To answer your other question, Chad tore the shoulder in early November 2004 at Buffalo and played the rest of the year, including the playoffs, with it torn before having surgery--the year Martin won the rushing title and we were a kick from the AFC championship game. Unless Martin racked up all those yards in the three games Quincy Carter played, which I doubt.

Curtis Martin was one of the best running backs of the last fifteen years.
