I love the way this team was put together this year, and I like their play this season. I'm looking forward to many more years of the Jets with Eric Mangini. I hope Cowher stays home. I'm a mangini fan!
Wow, fucking wow. The only thing worse than rooting against your team for draft position is rooting against your first place team for a coaching change. Fucking losers..
1. Did he really start KS for that long? 2. KS was good in the beginning. 3. Did he have anyone better on the bench?
How can anyone root for their team to lose. For a draft pick and especially for a coach!? Get a grip peaople. You hate JETS players, Coaches and now root for your team to Lose??? Pathetic. What's even worse is that people would root against a player or team just to prove a point. Why be a fan then? Because for some It's about ego and who's right and wrong. Get a grip and try actually rooting for your team.
Okay, I checked, there was a 5 year stretch where Kordell started at least 11 games a season and he was only good his first year.
Wow, THE Bill Cowher? Wo cares? We?re still in the Playoffhunt, that?s what matters now, there?s enough time in the offseason to think about that stuff. Now let?s get that team back together and beat the crap out of those Canadians.
Look at what Cowher accomplished over his 15 years at Pittsburgh. I would kill to have the Jets have a run like that over 15 years. Bottom line: We have never seen it - ever; not even close. I think Cowher took Pittsburgh to 6 AFC championship games in that time period; granted they didn't win all of them, but still; that is pretty good. Plus they had many other playoff appearences. I think it is do or die time for Mangini. If the Jets lay an egg this weekend it clearly points to something going on within the team and I do not want to hear any, repeat, any excuses after the game. I am not ready to run Mangini out of town just yet, but I will be very pissed if we do not get into the playoffs.
i know cowher won a SB but exactly how many afc championship games did he lose?? he is not as wildly successful as it appears...... of course it depends on how you measure success.... would any of us trade one SB win for 4-5 unsuccessful attempts in the SB or afc championship game. i would but i would likely be divorced, my kids would hate me, no one would work with me, and the amount of prozac ingested would be off the charts. jil
I suppose some people see talking about Cowher is a walking and chewing gum thing, while the season is still going on, but I like you would prefer to focus on the remainder of the games. My guess is, not to excuse that talk, is that one might be more inclined to fantasize about an HC change if you have essentially ruled out the Jets' chances this season. Which I can understand, I'm just not quite there yet. I want a win this weekend.
He wouldn't put 100% into it? Does Cowher look like the type of guy that wouldn't go 110% let alone 100%? Rex Ryan? Ugh.
Maybe a "rumor" will light a fire under Mangini and Co's collective ass. In the beginning of that win streak he looked pissed and the Jets played like he looked pissed. Then he started getting all Mangini looking again and everyone lost their edge. I hate to say it, but when it comes to work and getting performance out of people, nothing works better than tension and fear.
You know I get drawn into the talk too. Talking about players for next year. But another coach, it is like giving up on the season.
You are dolphin fan. Keep your opinions of my team to yourself and come back here in 2 weeks ass wipe. FU
