Wasn't that the year the Jets were (9-4) and looking great, then COMPLETELY fell apart and missed the playoffs?

    Maybe I am wrong.

Well, the Jets looked AMAZING at 8-3, now at 8-5, I can't even see them winning again. Its sad. Their next 2 opponents are a combined 8-18, but the Jets look BAD.

Yes, I brought this up with some friends who aren't Jets fans after the Titans win and they assured me it wouldn't happen to them again. So naive.

the good news is....we'll keep our 1st round pick in the 2009 draft. Because there's way we make it to the super bowl with the way we've played over the last 2 weeks.

It reminds me of the METS the last two years, looking great with all the hype then they completely collapse and lose to bad teams down the stretch. I can't deal with this twice in one year and three times in the last 20 months as a sports fan.

And on top of it Favre's looking very Tom Glavine or Pedro-like, i.e. he's done. Can't play in bad weather, has had a mediocre to worse year other than the Arizona game, we seemingly haven't completed a deep pass since that same game.

And yes in 2000 we were 9-4 and lost our last three games, but really we won 9 games on mirrors and the two-minute drill that year, we weren't that good of a team.

Well, apparently we aren't that good a team right now either.
