I think we can all stop waiting for this Defense to get better. I am convinced that this is as good as it gets. With this D we have no business making the playoffs. What a joke.
This is assuming that the jets make halftime adjustments. Something we have failed to do all season long.

Our pass rush needs to get to Hill. Our secondary is playing on and off, but our pass rush has been non-existent.
And what got totally missed was that on that openning onside kick, the Jets were totally unprepared. Simms made some comment on how Mangini was expecting it the night before. Well the only reason they recoved it was cause Brad Smith made an incredible individual effort. They were totally unprepared for that.
The total joke of the matter is that the Jets are good against the run.. They are,,,, which makes the fact that they absolutely can't defend the pass as even worse.
"Why are the bills and fins playing in Canada?" Toronto is trying to lure the Bills with the luxury sky boxes at the Sky Dome. I think they will play a few more through the next several seasons. The Toronto crowd sucks - they sit on their hands. If the NFL wants real action, they should have these games in Montreal instead, where some fights are guaranteed to break out. The NFL is run by a bunch of chicken shits, though.
On and off is giving them too much credit. They have been brutal. Hill is completing 75% of his passes. Not to mention the penalties.

You know I usually am never negative about my team. But this is pissing me off. This is December Football. The best teams or it least the teams that are playoff teams have to play well here. And what are the Jets doing against a lowly 49ers team that has nothing to play for? Losing 14-7 at the half and not just that but the 49ers beat them up and down the field.
We can still make the playoffs even with this shitty D--it requires that we score 35 points a game and we have the guys to do it. What we don't have is a head coach who recognizes this. If we did, we would be passing 70+%. Instead we have run 20 plays, 10 pass, 10 rush. He likes a balanced attack. All well and good if you have a D that can make stops. When you don't, you cannot win with a balanced attack--this is very obvious--why is he not recognizing it? The NFL has adjusted to any success that our D has had--and we don't seem to be able to adapt back. Therefore, throw the fucking ball, and throw, and throw and throw and put points on the fucking board!! What the fuck does a balance attack get you? 7 FUCKING POINTS!!!
This turnaround from that near-Perfect Titans game is just unbelievable. Zero pressure on the QB. Inability to put drives together. Very little apparent emotion. What the hell is going on?
