We aren't the Eagles. You don't pull an All Star QB at halftime and hand the ball to an unproven, untested rookie

If Favre was a statue, Ratliff would have been Mt Rushmore.

That makes sense, cuz Ratliff played in the spread option in college and is really fast. Yeah, it totally makes sense.

No, being a QB is about more than just mobility. Accurate passing, arm strength, and decision making are also important. This is actually widely known among most football fans, perhaps you should read up on the subject.

The Jets stayed with BF and lost. If they had switched to the more mobile Ratliff the worst outcome would have been losing, the same outcome they got from BF. But with Ratliff they would have had a mobile QB who can buy time to throw deep, that would have given them a chance to come back from behind.

I don't think different shoes would make a difference.

Have you even watched any of the games? The fact that you think that "buying more time" will help with the deep ball is completely false. The current receiving core can get absolutely no separation; I don't care how long you give them. This is plain comical. It's not like Denver's Dline was blowing up our Oline and he was going down quickly. Hell he stayed in the pocket for seconds most plays and no on got open. And you never answered my post about why we didn't take out the entire 1st string secondary. They played really bad in both the 1st and 2nd halves. By your logic we probably could have won with the backups because Denver probably wouldn't have watched much tape on them to prepare. And also your argument that the "worst thing that could happen with Ratliff is we lose so we should have put him in there" is RETARDED. We also could have just forfeited the 2nd half. That would have no worse consequences. Seriously you have such silly logic. I hope to God you are not one of the people that bash this CS, cause you have shown to be MUCH more inept at the game of football than they could ever hope to be.

This thread is an example of how Jet fandom is still not free of the cancer that is Chad Fans.

Don't lump this idiocy in with Chad fans. I doubt many of them would actually prefer Ratliff. This guy is just a loon alone on his own little island in the sea. I doubt anyone would even care to rescue him.

While I have been critical of Favre at times, I cannot even defend this one.

Who knows if Ratliff is even ready.

It was a bad day, time to move on.

Look, I understand that Ratliff has proven to have all those attributes at the NFL level, but that doesn't make them more important than mobility. Vick can move baby! Favre might even have those skills, though not as strong as Ratliff, but he can't move!

    Bring Vick to the JETS!

I watched the game. Favre was hardly the main problem out there, I wouldnt even say a "problem" as we would normally describe it in any case. I would have gone through a list of several other shortcomings before I got to poor Qb play. The notion that the Qb is responsible for every poor game was hardly the kind of thinking you heard from Chad Fans in all those miserable, dispiriting losses he was the Qb in during years past. Yet this is what we hear in this thread and elsewhere.

Oh well, I have come to expect it.

You're kidding right? You choose Vick as you're savior? God help us all. Vick hasn't played football in 2 years. Plus the whole team would be scared of Vick at shower time. They wouldn't want him to show them all the new tricks that he learned from Billy Bob.

Vick is the logical(?) conclusion to the OP. Why anyone is still attempting to be anything but sarcastic in this thread is beyond me.
