I just remeber him having a lousy game this past Sunday. I thought he was doing a decent job most of the season.. Harris returning will be big. He immediately increases the speed and coverage ability of the defense. We all saw how much trouble they had covering the TEs against Denver..
good news on both. elam has been solid except for the bronco game. he isn't an elite player by any means so of course he is going to get beat sometimes.
What you want E. Smith back?! At least Elam has like 3 forced fumbles so far... WTF did E. Smith do besides dislocate Boldins jaw...
It's the right move. As mediocre (and sometimes overrated on this board) as Elam is, he's made a thousand more impact plays than Eric Smith.
Elam was inconsistent this season? Maybe last game was his first sign, but this season? That's news to me. Glad to hear Harris will be back.
People forget the Pick 6 Elam had...or the fumbles he forced....sheeze how soon we forget these things when a guy plays one bad game. I want to see how he bounces back before I decide he needs to get the hook . . .keep in mind Eric Smith will not light the world on fire with his play either. . . .
Elam is what he is, a hit or miss guy who loves to play aggressive and take chances. He will make a lot of big plays, but give up a lot too. He is the best we got, although I think Barrett should rotate in more at FS with Rhodes moving to SS in obvious passing downs.
Without a legitimate pass rush our secondary will never be able to play to the potential that all of us want them playing at.
our secondary doesnt really have much potential except for revis and rhodes. everyone else needs to improve(lowery) or be replaced(everyone else)
