Winning 5 in a row doesn't happen by playing inconsistently.... i love how fans bash the coaches when we lose and say they are horrible but call for their hall of fame induction when we win.... the only thing inconsistent about the jets is its fanbase...
so if a team does not go 16 - 0 they are inconsistent??? by losing 1 game out of 6 a team is inconsistent?? your argument is retarded to say the least.
It's not like we lost a close game. We got our asses handed to us on both sides of the ball. Basically we're never sure which team is going to show up.
i dont see how thats true....very good teams play flat once in a while...thats what happened....i'm sure the jets we've CONSISTENTLY seen this season will show up next week
We wern't just flat. We were exposed. On defense, spread formations exploit our lack of depth at DB. On offense, if our rink a dink passing game gets stopped we struggle. Even with a good running attack. We better open up our offense if we want to make it far in the playoffs.
We're not inconsistent. we were due for a letdown after beating the Pats and Titans on the road. Also, they were caught up with the SB talk, and the Broncos took it to us.

We just went 4-1 in that spand we played 3 division leaders at the time we played them + denver and st louis and lost one game, am I dissapointed and pissed about today, is it because we are the same ol jets no- we let down it happens, its what we do the next 4 weeks that define us. Stop with the inconsistency etc.... anyone thinks that horrible play call on cothery did not affect anything is nuts too it was a terrible call.
we just don't have the talent to play man defense. the d-line usually great against the run but in passing situations we consistently get no pressure, exposing the lack of talent in the d-backs.
was tennesee not flat a bit last week, if you say no fellow fans your kidding yourself, can we beat tennesee absolutely are we that much better them no. Also consider match ups on any sunday we match up very well with Tennesee regardless of how well they play, Denver is not a good match up for us even with less talent and a lesser team if we shoot ourselvers they have the ability to exploit us.
game went bad with that first fumble return....had to big runs but never felt they had any rhythm....bad weather hurts the short passing game we play and every time they tried a hurry up offense a damn bronco was rolling around on the turf. Just a bad home loss...the Pats loss so that makes it a bit easier to stomach but knowing we could be 2 games up hurts
do you know the definition of inconsistent? because im getting the feeling you dont know what the word means...so let me post a definition of it for you. lacking in harmony between the different parts or elements; self-contradictory winning 5 out of 6 games is once again not lacking in harmony between the different parts... consistent: holding firmly together; cohering this loss is not evidence of this not happening...its simply an isolated loss.... inconsistent gets you to 7 - 6 not 8 - 4
So we're not gonna run the table. That doesn't mean the SOJ's suddenly showed up although the SOJFans seem to have come out from under the rug. Relax folks. The Titans played just like we did last week although they didn't fake injuries. Kudos to Shanahan to pulling that old school trick out of his ass. It worked and that's the bottom line isn't it. This loss might be the best loss this team can endure this year. Why? Because they were getting bigheaded and today's soft assed, sloppy play reflected in their loss. They took the Broncos for granted and got lit up. We can only hope they bounce back just like the Titans did and light up the next team they play. If Mangini and this CS lets this team fold down the stretch, then I'll personally lead a convoy to their homes and light every single torch.
