Is this the most talented offense Favre has been on?

I think while Favre is not as good as he was on those Green Bay Offenses from a talent perspective this is the best group of guys he has had around him. He's got a great O-Line. A very good back who is having a pro bowl year. The team can run the ball at will.

He has two good Wide Receivers who dont drop passes and arent afraid to take big hits. He has a rookie Tight End who he himself wishes he had during his Green Bay days and he has Leon Washington as the backup RB who is a big play waiting to happen. Then he has guys like Chris Baker, Chansi Stuckey, and Brad Smith who do a good job in their roles as well.

Over the hill O-line? Average age on Jets o-line is 27.6. That's not over the hill, my friend, that is in their prime. I think you sir, are the dope smoker in our midst...

If by prime you mean one season, ok. He had a "ok" rookie year, a breakout year like a season or two later, then he got hurt in t he first game of the 2006 season, and has been shit ever since. Even when he has been healthy, he has been dropping passes, not getting seperation, and not winning jump balls.

Not saying Favre made the guy, but he's been absolutely horrible without him.

    It might be.

Those mid 90's GB teams were pretty impressive. But I've got to say the current Jets team has really come together. The defense is excellent and there are no obvious holes on offense - with the exception of maybe one "burner" WR to stretch the field. TJ, Cotchery, Coles, Keller & Leon are all serious weapons.

It's been really fun to watch Favre as he gets more comfortable on the team. He's been a strong armed, cagey veteran QB - everything we hoped for when he signed his contract. And as the team prepares for the playoffs Brett is really hitting his stride.

Favre's never had much to work with. Most of his "best" guys sucked everywhere else. He didnt get to play with Sharpe for long, nor with Robert Brooks. Like you said, Walker only had a couple really good years but had a lot of injuries. His #1 receiver was Schroeder for a while and that's saying a lot.

The only group of receivers that really impressed me was last year in GB. But Favre only got to play with Jennings for 2 years and one of those was his rookie season. The only constant has been Favre and he's made a lot of nothing sometimes.

Jennings was hurt for most of his rookie year. He showed promise early on but the nagging injuries (hamstring?) kept him for producing all season long.
And Javon Walker was only good for about the last 1/3 of 2003 and all of 2004.
