Watching this very important win, my first thought is that SI has to put the Jets on the cover...maybe it's Leon or Coles or Jones because they always seem to put those endzone shots in. Of course, Favre is also a very likely candidate. Then I think, oh no, there going to do that NY, NY thing again. Many of you will remember, back in 86 when the Jets were rolling to a 10-1 and the Giants were rolling to their first Super Bowl, they put Gastineau on the cover with LT. I know the Giants are rated as the best team in the NFL right now, but I'm so getting sick of the NY/NY Super Bowl talk. The Giants have had more than enough glory...let's keep the focus on Gang Green...please.
Seeing anybody on the cover of Sports Illustrated right now doesn't do it for me. Win the big one first, then maybe I'll look for it.
Sorry winning the division does not do it for me only winning the SB does. There are no awards for the also rans only next year to start again
Screw S.I and Peter King I cancelled my subscription years ago and demanded a refund. Based on Peter King bashing the NYJETS week after week.
I'm with you on this one. We're in control of our own destiny right now, and there's absolutely NO reason we can't win the Super Bowl this year.
How about lets get the 2nd seed to make the path as easy as possible which includes winning the division which is far from wrapped up.
I care not for magazine covers, as most the other posters seem to agree with, but I have to beg to differ on that point. Some still say Dallas is the most talented team in the league and even though the Giants have just tied an NFL record by beating 5 straight teams with winning records they still get looked past by lots of analysts. I know what the media says doesn't matter, but in terms of the Giants receiving glory I think there has been a significant lack of glory ESPECIALLY when you consider that they are the defending champions. No intent to threadjack, but I had to get it out.
No, not my first thought, there were many hundreds of wonderful thoughts flooding through with the endorphins that were pumping as the Jets closed the vice down on Tennessee. Seeing them on the cover of SI was among them. I think # 928 to be exact.
word  I hope the team arent getting as giddy as some of the people on here I've been on the crest of a wave all day and will be until we lose but for god sake stop talking about the superbowl
noooooo si cover is a jinx. No cover. let them keep talking crap about us. Hopefully we'll be the last team standing in Feb.
