#4 is going to have to have another hell of a game to beat the titans. They boast possibly the best defense in the entire NFL, and say what you want, but we will NOT be able to run the ball. #4 is going to have to win this game, and obviously there is little doubt that he has the ability to do it, especially after what he did against NE on the road. My question is: Are the coach's going to handcuff him again? You need to pour on the points until the 4th quarter. Magini still hasn't learned that sitting on leads is how you lose football games.
HAHA! thats too funny, honestly, id be more comfortable if tennessee was still undefeated when they play us, For some reason I feel theyll be more vulnerable. Either way I feel a win, lets do it.
I see you have done some significant research into the Titans, but let me tell you this we are in no way the favirote in this game. I go to school in Nashville and while they may not get the national attention the pats did while going for 16-0, the city of Nashville is obsessed with this team right now. It is going to be a hostile road game against a smash mouth football team that is dirty on defense. When you look at our common opponents they abosolutely destroyed teams we sturggled with. While the Jets certainly have turned a corner in the last three weeks, that can not be ignored. Having watched all of the Jets games and quite a few Titans games I can tell you that is a favorable matchup for both defenses. Their corner Cortland Finnegan is an absolute ballhawk and if Favre tests him HE WILL take one the other way. This is going to be a low scoring smashmouth game i fully excpect it to come down to turnovers and field position
Nov 10 DT Albert Haynesworth played only about 20 plays because of soreness that he incurred before Sunday's game. That's on Yahoo TheNatureBoy. NYJets1135, We HAVE to be the favorites. 1. More time to prepare and rest 2. Game after a HUGE divisional game [us and Ten] 3. Almost 2 weeks for our secondary to prep 4. Harris might be back 5. It's almost like we are having a 2nd bye week 6. Tenessee is CLEARLY a great team. But sometimes matchups win out over record. We have great matchups in this game.
The rest is great and all , but it doesnt adress any of the matchups i discussed in my previous post. Their defense is better than ours plain and simple. They are home, advantage Titans. While, I personally do think the Jets will win this game, we are not that favirote. A couple days to heal up doesnt change the fact that we will have an immensely difficult time getting our run game going. Stopping their run game will not be so easy either we have yet to face a duo like johnson and white. They have a great power speed combo unlike we have seen this year. Enough of my negativity im just trying to get but point across to those havent watched the titans this year and were using this thread to get some info on the team. Its gonna be a smashmouth playoff type game which either could team win , but saying we are the faviortes is misleading those seeking objectional information. That said lets GO JETS
Please....We play down to bad opponents. This is not a bad opponent. Take this months mortgage, and bet the Jets.(they are great as road dogs btw..) Jets by 10.
Why does it never occur to anyone that just because he is a rookie QB that doesn't mean he should be awful and we should hold him to 100 yards? Clearly Cassell is a pretty good QB as he as proved all season. His team was just at the top of the division at 6-3 with this "rookie" QB. The fact is the Pats are still a really good team, as goo as with Brady? Probably not, but they are still a very good team all around. Good teams find a way to come back late in the game and better teams find a way to still win the game after this happens to them!:jets:
When they beat the Jags, the upset will look good and everyone will look to the Jets to pull it off. It will be the most covered afternoon game that week. 10 days to gameplan? nice. Doesn't Mangini kill teams after a bye??? Hahahaha
Not sure about our struggling running game. But i know that Chitown held Tenessee to under 50 yards rushing. I am looking forward to this game just as much as everyone else. Not to be right about it, but to see us win!
It's still the titan's to lose. i don't know if they'll lose 3 from here on out. maybe lost to the steelers and maybe us. that last game against indy might count. that said, i'm not that impressed with their wins. they really should have lost to the ravens and even the packers. heck, even the bears had a good chance last week. this isn't a great team that wins by 30. they play solid run defense and run the ball well. really no big secret to their success. we stop their run, make them one-dimensional, get some turnovers and we'll be fine. but if they have success running the ball, we'll have a long day ahead.
If we're not. That's a good thing... Jets kill as road dogs. If the line is more than 3 double down with the mortgage.
 Favorites. On the road vs. a 10-0 team? No. I like the Jets chances though. I am naming this game: CLASH OF THE TITANS (NY VS.TN)
Tennessee's upset is coming. Everyone will be looking for it to happen, and this team will be rested and up to the challenge.
