I am...probably shouldn't have made this thread but that was the first thing on my mind when I woke up this morning. The second was that we own the division now and it is ours to lose. should have gone with that second thought instead.

I say lets enjoy it. Yes the second half was a disappointing one after the impressive first half performance, but I think we should be happy. Afterall, the Patsies have had it over us for a fair old time and this result puts the Jets in the driving seat for once.

If we get a result against the Titans we are going to be in a great position for a bye in the playoffs.

Lets stop getting on Mangini's back for at least a few days after a divisional victory again the premier team of the decade.

so if lowery was on him it would've been different...give me a break...we won and are in first place. It wasn't Mangin's fault that the O couldn't move the ball but 20 yards in the 3rd qtr!!!!WAY TO GO MANGINI & THE REST OF THE JETS!!! The same ol Jets would've blown the lead and lost the game, the new JETS were able to bounce back and take control of the division

We all want the same thing a Jets team to be proud of , maybe just maybe we have that this year. Yes the D yesterday was frustrating but if we had let Moss rack up 100 yards plus 2 td we lose the game. The prevent was frustrating but every HC would have run the same D in that last drive , Moss made a great catch simple BUT we won!!

Lets have a relaxing weekend and get ready for next Sunday!!

Well by that logic, you could say the same thing about Cassell to to Welker on numourous occassions.
We went up incidentley. Take out Leons marvellous return and we have a much tighter, dare I say even more reflective scoreline.
WHY should it have been easy?

I honestly believe if last night's game had been the super bowl you'd have threads on here today saying "We Almost Blew It!" and "Mangini OUT!!", etc. It seems to be a part of the psyche.

I mean, hell, we never trailed last night. Every time NE looked to have the momentum we punched them hard in the guts and took it back.

Don... Shut the fuck up. We're in first place. We just went into Foxboro, home of our arch rivals, AS UNDERDOGS, knocked them out of first place in OT and broke the longest OT winning streak by an NFL head coach.

In the fourth quarter, we had absolutely no momentum and the game looked like a classic Patriots comeback. With a tie game in Foxboro, that fat slob engineered a 10+ play, 7+ minute touchdown drive. He kept his players calm and cool. That's good coaching. Ditto OT- no momentum, drive down the field, win the game. IN FOXBORO.

We've got a 4 game winning streak and we've got the second best record in the AFC, which means the BYE WEEK is ours to lose, not the division or the berth, which is a beautiful thing to say.

We've got a game against an unbeaten team next week so take your negativity, stick it as far up your ass as possible and sit on your hands, you are not allowed to type for the rest of the Super Bowl run.

The other guys get paid too.
Are you going blame Keller, for dropping two consecutive TDpasses, that would have added 4 to the score?

And that play to Moss should never have happened (F*ng zebras), but they made a great throw and catch, that no one could have defended.

Did anybody watch the super bowl. Where was the prevent defense on the Patriots last drive? Mangina controlls Sutton like a puppy doll. We need a real coach like that Pittsburgh retired guy. You know Cowler would never stand for that prevent crap.

Mangini almost sold me the press conference defense about the last drive philosophy, but the SB champs never played that in their life and I want to be like them.... sooner or later its going to bite them in the ass.

But this win is done and they have 10 days to gameplan for TEN. With the rest thats coming to them, and if the Titans beat the Jags, there will be a certain upset feeling in the air about this next game.

Of course we're all happy for the win--but I'm still reeling from that 3rd and 2 run into the middle after the 2 minute warning. This was pussy playing at its best--and look how it turned out.

I've seen many teams throw it there and its complete 70%+ of the time. That is, a pass play gives you a 70% chance of kneeling 3 times to end the game. Their puckered-ass don't lose play calling nearly cost us another game.

C'mon Mike T--say something! Also, what happenned in the tunnel after the game or is that just bs?

Attitudes like yours is why the Jets have won nothing in 40 years...keep being satisfied with mediocrity...crawl back in your fucking hole and come out again 40 more years down the road.

Not sure why everyone is so up in arms about running on 3rd and 2. If you replay the game you will notice that the majority of 3rd and short was play from shotgun. That fucking annoyed the hell out of me.

and thats the problem, the psyche needs to change around here. I'm asking for homeristic blind faith, but i'm asking for a tough "fuck you" attitude after these kinds of wins, similar to how the Steelers act and think year in and year out.... I want to have that mentality as a Jet fan, and I'm getting there - I suggest everyone does the same.

    Accept success and nothing less.

The four real differences in the game:

    1. Leon Washington

    2. Not making the costly, stupid, bonehead mistakes that usually give victory to the Pats.

    3. Keller's help

    4. Cotchery's Tyree-like catch

We won, and I am happy, but I would have liked the Jets to give the Pats an ass-kicking when we had a chance to do so.

Nevertheless, we are in the driver's seat in the division; when was the last time we ever said that 10 games into the season; probably '98; but, may have been later into the '98 season before we really took charge.

Damn, those Pats play tough ball when they have to.

What kills me though is that we made a no-name QB look like the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ/Joe Montana last night.

The prevent defense was the right thing to call there. It forced everything into the middle of the field with NE having no timeouts and they needed a TD to TIE.

We do that all the time. Whether it's Tyler Thigpen, Cassel or Trent Edwards.

Say what you will about how that game ended but this entire CS outcoached the best CS in the league for half the game and prevailed for the W in a hostile environment with alot on the line for both teams.

We are in first place and have won 4 straight, including two huge division games on the road. Really what more can you ask for from this CS up to this point?
