I'll even translate it into something that maybe you can understand. If Pennington has elevated Miami as you say he has then he also the reason the Jets were 4-12 last year. Actually his contribution to that was 1-8 I believe, even worse. You can't have one without the other.
Do you understand how bad our OL was last year? No QB could have won w/ that OL. Look at the difference in Thomas Jones? some of that is good health this year but most of it has to do w/ the revamped OL. I believe Favre will be a difference maker before this year ends and I am happy w/ his play in recent weeks BUT he is way down the list of reasons why we are 6-3 this year compared to 1-8 a year ago.
Whoa, you think Miami was a 9 or 10 win team last year and only needed a QB? That is preposterous. They have improved on offense, defense and special teams. Parcells and their new HC is a big part of it but so what? They brought in new players and had a good draft.
Of course Miami has improved but they didn't improve to a 5-4 team before they got Chad. They didn't have a good QB before they got Chad, we did. I think pre-Chad Miami was looking at maybe 5-6 wins all year and that's being generous. The running game hasn't been great(they have had a few games), the D has been good but they are playing w/ leads instead of always trailing like in the past- that makes a huge difference. I LIKE Favre, he definitely brings more excitement but I want to win and I think we have the team around him to make a deep run in the postseason. He hasn't shown us consistent greatness yet and he doesn't need to be great he just needs to be good overall and great in spots. I EXPECT he'll give us that but he hasn't yet and that's why such a thread like this is silly.
Sure they did. In fact, I think half the TDs they have scored this year Pennington had no part in at all. They were direct snapped to a RB or reciever. You are good with stats, look it up. Trick plays is why they are 5-4.
That is so overblown, they use that formation a few times a game and the only game they really dominated w/ it was against NE. Chad is setting up that O to score, it doesn't matter who finishes off the drive. Was that a big play by Favre w/ the 1 yd TD to keller? and Chad isn't getting the fioeld position that Favre is getting from all the TOs our D creates to the great returns by Leon.
that last throw by favre to put them in field goal range is a throw that only a few can make. he has earned his appreciation for sure now.
best game by Favre by far. He was sick at the end 26 -33 258 yds 2 tds no turnovers and two masterful drives at the end.
