well we could stil use delgado for a pawn. trade him to a AL team that could use him as a DH or platoon 1B and get solid middle relief back. than sign texiera J.Reyes A.Reyes wright texiera beltran dunn church schneider/castro
If you guys trade Delgado, try to get one relief pitcher and a corner outfielder. If you can pull that off, I may buy a Mets t-shirt in the new year and you guys can have some free advertising from me when I wear the shirt. Thank you in advance.
Wow. I didnt think you were actually gonna take a break from the team, but I guess you are. I wish i could do that seeing as this team is a pile of shit, but I cant.
Sorry Pal but I think your living a pipe dream...... I don't see the Mets making a run at Dunn unless he changed his name to Julio Dunnmirez
I actually did not watch any baseball games in full in 2008 and that includes the Cubs-Mets game which I attended. One Third Glavine can be thanked for this. That son of a bitch freed up many hours this year after he sucked much of the baseball life out of me in 2007. As for my most recent post that you quoted, I was responding to 17a's continued use of the term "we" as if he is on the Mets payroll or something.
no they picked up beltrans option to be thier first baseman, if they wanted to get rid of him they could have just let him walk as a fa and got the draft picks. Teams arent going to want to give up more than what a type a FA would get.
Fucking A, there are so many perfectly legitimate bones to be picked with Minaya's record as GM that I really can't stand when people fall back into the retarded, racist, and factually motherfucking incorrect one.
Get me Orlando Hudson, Brian Fuentes, Chad Cordero, Derek Lowe, Raul Ibanez Trade Church + Sanchez for a reliever and some B-level prospect Trade Castillo + Heilman + Schoenweis for a pack of Big League Chew MAKE IT HAPPEN! My roster would look like this: 1B - Delgado 2B - Hudson SS - Reyes 3B - Wright C - Schneider/Castro RF - Raul Ibanez CF - Beltran LF - Murphy/Chavez/Fernando Martinez(MAYBE) Starting Rotation: Santana Pelfrey Lowe Maine Niese Bullpen: Cordero Reliever from trade Joe Smith Pedro Feliciano Brian Fuentes All the other minor leaguers (Parnell, Kunz, etc.)
i like. murphy should be in the outfield, it way less important then 2nd base, i like church, but who knows if he'll be able to produce like he did before he got hurt.
Church is a better asset than Ibanez, Cordero is coming off labrum surgery and is nowhere close to a sure thing, platooning Murphy and Endy would give us horrid production from a power position, and all your trades are video game-style ridiculousness.
Try not packaging together guys you don't want, find a team for whom those players make sense then approximate an appropriate return.
For one thing, your expectation of getting a pack of big league chew for Heilman, Shoenweis and Castillo is to put it mildly unrealistic. Maybe we could get a pack of Big Red for that collection of scrubs but there is absolutely zero chance of getting Big League Chew in return.
Manuel’s 2009 coaching staff will be: * Luis Alicea, First Base Coach * Razor Shines, Third Base Coach * Dan Warthen, Pitching Coach * Howard Johnson, Hitting Coach * Sandy Alomar, Sr., Bench Coach * Randy Niemann, Bullpen Coach * Sandy Alomar, Jr., Catching Instructor From metsblog.com
Well, Some Reliever is coming off a flukey season with his BABIP and whatnot, and B-Level Prospect only put up those numbers because his age is too advanced for that league. Oh, also, don't be a douche.
You are aware that the Mets had more ethnic whites on their team than the Yankees last year, arn't you? And if the Mets sign K-Rod or Fuentes as their closer next year, your little mind is going to consider that racist - right?
