I know many people don't like power rankings, and I usually don't either, but ESPN's definitely caught me eye. 9 - NY Jets - "The Jets' defense is among the NFL's elite. The Jets stop the run, sack the quarterback and create huge turnovers. (TG)" That's quite a compliment
nice compliment indeed. but i dont pay attention to those things ever. whenever they get posted and the jets are low we see everyone screaming about how little respect the team gets. the way i see it they mean nothing when we are ranked low, and still mean nothing when they are ranked high. even though it is nice to see them ranked higher i wont lie about that.
What I find really interesting is not a mention of the #2 points scored and probably a top 10 offense overall at this point in the season. The defense is good but the offense has held up it's end when the coaching was not brain-dead.
Not only is it a nice compliment, but its true, out D is awesome. We still aren't getting much respect in these rankings. Out of 6-3 teams we are 5th out of 7. We were ahead of the patriots last week. We obliterate a team that they had trouble with and they beat a team that we also beat and they move ahead of us?! No respect.
Now the Jets have to go out there on thursday night and prove they belong in the top 10 of the power rankings. Get r done! :jets:

Oh boy, Jeffrey Chadiha is high on the Jets this week! We're that much closer to a championship! Don't rely on the idiots at ESPN - who generally don't know anything more about the game than your average acne-ridden kid who plays a lot of Madden - to validate your team.

To my eyes, Jets padded up the stats enormously against bottom feeders. Until Jets come away 2-0 or 1-1 (win tomorrow is a MUST.) in the next 2 weeks, I wouldn't consider this team elite.
true that, we wont need to look at any power ranking to know this team is legit if they win the next two.
