By the way, everybody is overlooking the fact that Mangini coached Law in New England for years (including winning the 2001 superbowl championship with him) and obviously knows what kind of a guy he is in the locker room. Do any of you really think he would let law come here if he were concerened, AT ALL, about Law fucking up the chemistry in the locker room? I mean we all know how important work ethic and discipline are to Mangini. He probably has a good relationship with Law and vice versa. This is just common sense. People are really being terribly illogical about this.

odd moves don't sit well with the franchise's history... i think in the last 10 years this is a new Jets culture, but this is kind of the same.

I'd just wanna see it work out, but Law's demeanor in 05 is what we remember. And it wasn't pretty.

Interesting that no others sports site on the planet has this story.

I'm curious: which "odd moves" are you referring to, and why were they odd?

Kris Jenkins will eat him if he becomes a distraction.

That stuff is meaningless. All that matters is now. And for all the reasons I have outlined you can be relatively sure that Law will not be an issue in the locker room.

i'm just worried because of all the hard work better be seamless and unscathed with Law coming in. But 3 days after being signed he's playing in the biggest game of the Jets season?? That a bit much.

Schefter is batting a thousand for his career. If he reports it, it's done.

i agree with you, but the Jets fan demon in me is angered by this.

I'll probably like the signing when he breaks up a 1st down pass and the Pats have to punt on their own 13.

Adam Schefter is probably the most reliable media source to date.

If he can cover Welker, I'll be happy.

I'm thinking they're not going to put him in a foot-race with Randy Moss. They're going to ask him to cover Jabar freaking Gaffney, stay 20 yards off the LOS and catch the ball if Cassell throws it to him. That's it.

The whole no. 22 thing has to be a misprint.

“That’s my little boy,” said the 34-year-old Law. “I’ve watched him grow up and to be able to help him now, it’ll be a good deal. He’s wearing No. 22, and he’s representing me. He’s a stud, and it’s going to be more of a pleasure to watch him grow.”

It doesn't make any sense. How would he be representing Ty Law wearing No. 22? Both were/are #24. I'm sure Revis looked up to Law and that would be a reason why he's #24. Law will be #22 or something.

I predict we cut him after the Pats game...win or lose.
