no i agree, we're gonna need some proven CB's for the next 3 weeks, and he's probably no worse than lowery/coleman... let's do it up.

I know Law is good friends with Revis, I am nervous. Law has always had a horrible me first attitude....

“I’ve watched him grow up and to be able to help him now, it’ll be a good deal. He’s wearing No. 22, and he’s representing me."

Kind of off the topic here...But am I reading this correctly? Ty Law is going to wear #24, his old number. And Revis took #22?? That sucks for all those with $200 Revis jerseys...UGHHH.

The initial gut reaction is OH NO!... but then .. if you think about it... why is this bad? He's still a good cover guy, and he knows a lot of tricks... and with Revis on the #1 spot he's going to be covering weaker WRs... so it evens out.

one thing about ty law is that he gets picks. the one year he was here he didnt seem to do much in coverage for the most part. somehow he had a lot of picks anyway. if he is the nickel back then this an upgrade if he is going to come in and take of lowerys spot i dont like it.

and as long as his attitude is in check i would hope he could show lowery a thing or two. mangini has to realize he has a good thing going in that locker room right now, he wouldn't be bringing in law midway through the season if he was gonna mess with that.

I thought Revis was doing fine without Law's supposed "tootlelage".

As a player..he brings veteran stability....but he's not a very good influence in the lockeroom.

If he's signed on the cheap, we can always cut him. The risk appears to be minimal.

I highly highly doubt it, but I guess it could happen. Revis is good friends with Law, Revis I guess could give him the number as "respect".

Why would Revis give up his number to this over-the-hill hack?

Yeah I'm not thrilled with the move. As long as he doesn't take plays away from Lowery it's probably a pretty limited risk.

i like it, he cant be worse than what we have, he brings experience to a yound secondary and i think he can be a even better FS than a CB, move Rhodes back to SS

I was afraid to post this but I completely agree with you. Lowery has showed flashes of brilliance but he's also been tremendously inconsistent. The Front office made it clear from the moves they made this offseason that this team is going for it all THIS year. Let me ask you guys a serious question, does anyone really see Favre coming back for another season??? Because I don't. And if he isn't then why not pour everything into this year??? What's so bad about bringing in an all-time great corner to play some slot-corner (and I love the idea of giving him some playing time at safety)???? I actually think it's a very good move.

I think Darrelle can mentor him.

I probably should calm down...it's not the end of the world. I just have memories of Law and his me-first attitude...and i don't want that to disrupt the chemistry that's FINALLY coming together for our team.

ugh revis gave up his number?

I already don't like this but he cant be worse than coleman in the nickel and is versatile to play some safety
