If they are seriously releasing him, something is terribly wrong. And he sucks.

Hell no, he isn't even that good, and he's one of the most selfish players in the league.

Watch him go to the Pats and dominate. He team up nicely with Brandon Meriweather. They can go post up at the club.

Hall is a combination of TO and Chad Ocho Cinqo on the defensive side of the ball with maybe a third the overall talent. Now that teams actually decided to throw at him, (cuz Namdi is on the other side) he has been exposed for the garbage he is. The fact theydished out the draft picks plus cash shows how god awful he must be to get cut mid-season.

So no i think they should avoid hall. However if they decide to flip things around and cut Asomugha and hang on to hall, i say we Mortgage the franchise to bring him in for the rest of the season. Good Lord can you imagine Namdi + Revis and Rhodes in the secondary?? jesus, I may have to go Madden sim that shit just to see how exciting it would be?

hall is super talented skillfully not a great corner but he is above average given the right system he can be pro bowl worthy again. Oakland is just a horrible place to be no one can strive there except Nnamdi idk how he does it

he's getting cut by the worst organization in the league.

Not sure that is a good omen. Caused problems for the Falcons, and now to be cut by the Raiders? Problem child.

Eh...he's 25...highly talented...has had good seasons before...if he comes cheap I'd do it in a heartbeat.

He's exactly the kind of guy teams should take gambles on. For all the evil he's done...he's still had 0 significant off field incidents.

Edit: I don't even think they'll release him. Unless he's causing a major scene there, theres no real reason to.

Hall IMO would play very well for a contender with a coach that'll be straight with him. As someone who's followed him since his days at VT, I don't think he's nearly the bad guy he's portrayed as.

I honestly doubt the Raiders will release Deepangelo Hall, but if they do he's just not worth it. What the Raiders should really do is switch positions between Deepangelo and Michael Fluff. They both have playing styles better suited to the other position, at S Hall would be helping the team by focusing on INTs and while Huff tackles like a CB he also runs like one and played the position in college.

If Javon Walker gets cut, wouldn't he make more sense? He played with Favre at one point of his career - so if he comes cheap, he's worth a look. Hall? Don't even waste your time on that turd.

Walker gets hurt way too often Hall is 24 turning 25 on the 19th, he has talent 2 pro bowl selections. We almost picked him back in 05 it would be great to add another corner to this defense who would thrive with a defense who can now rush the passer and stop the run something Oakland cant do. Oakland essentially leaves their corners on an island that is a reason he's been struggling.Let lowery play nickel where he would be much more effective. The one thing we arent good at is stopping the pass that would be improved an experienced Hall.

We dont' have the cap space, but I would want them to bring him in. We have a shut down corner in Revis, it would be ok to have a proven guy on the other side, who takes a few more risks, but gets a few more turnovers. I don't think there is anyway we can afford him though.

I'd love to see the Boys sign another guy with an attitude problem though. Just watch Jerry Jones become Al Davis.

Walker would never consider coming here. After his amazing year with the Pack, he was holding out for more money. Favre publicly told him that he should come to camp (I didn't really like Favre's approach) and that is when he asked to be traded. He absolutely does not like Favre at all. No way this would happen. Although he does possess the speed we desperately need at wide receiver. Man if we could have a SPEEDY and/or TALL deep threat outside opposite Cotchery and then with Coles playing Driver's role finding open spots across the middle.... Man it would be awesome.

DeAngelo Hall=Most overrated player that plays the game. This guy is not as good as people think. Just his speed makes up for all the plays he gets beat on.

No we should not sign DeAngelo Hall. This team is building its chemistry and coming together very nicely - we don't need to bring in a guy who was a locker room cancer in Atlanta and an often beat CB in Oakland. He doesn't have the off-the-field incidents, but he runs his mouth and talks back to the coaches - something we don't need.

He will likely be a Dallas Cowboy very shortly with Pacman suspended, Terrence Newman out with an abdomen injury, and Anthony Henry suffering from a thigh injury.

Get Hall if you can sign him for close to the league minimum. That's all he is worth with the baggage that will come with him.

I bet if you go back and read the Randy Moss posts in his final days as a Raider they would be quite similar to the general feeling on Hall in this thread, and remember, all those people were WRONG! :)

DeAngelo is a big mouth ego who cannot back it up.

Why would you guys want the droppings of the Raiders anyway?
