Looks like some of our own have found a kindred spirit in Glauber. For all of you, CUT THE CORD...Penny will be waving towels for Miami for the rest of his playing career.
Chad has 4 turnovers Brett has 14 Chad has more yards, more YPA, and a better rating. Favre has given the Jets what most fans wanted, more excitement and a winning season. To say he's having a better year than Pennington is assinine. Chad's games have been consistent. Let's take away Favre's one amazing game. Then we have: Chad 7 TDs, 4 turnovers Brett 9 TDs, 13 turnovers And the disparity in the other stats goes even more in Chad's favor. Sorry guys, it's not even close. Like the guy said, root for your team and enjoy the season, but don't try to tell me the sky isn't blue.
He is one stat that kills the debate..... Pennington and the Dolphins are like 1 for 41 converting a 3rd down of 7 or more yards. Do the people that write these articles actually watch the games????? I have seen every Dolphin Game this year, and Pennington is the exact same player he was last year. For the Dolphins that is an upgrade and it improves THEM. With us, it would have been a regression. The fact that Pennington is playing well, is a product of the entire team over acheiving. The same way the Jets played in 1997 when Parcells took over. The QB we had in 97 was not the same player in 98. The Dolphins, I am sure will follow the same model.
Just by the title this article is fuckin trash. Pennington would of never drove us to the game winning drive against hermies chiefs but favre like always did and the come back tying drive against Oak... So i have us possibly 4-4 with pennington and maybe 3-5 considering he was torched by the Cards and we lit em up for 56 Points. With favre where a better football team period.
Sorry to inform you of reality but the bottom line is points. He scores more touchdowns. When stats win games, then the argument of YPA fly....until then I'll take TDs any day.
And gives up more touchdowns. Again, take away the six touchdown game and it's not even close. But then you also have to add in all the points the turnovers led to for the other team. And then you have to add in the points your running back gets. If you lead your team to a TD via the run isn't that also helpful? There's also how well you control the clock, etc. etc. etc. You look at things way to simply to show anything more than a basic understanding of football.
Having been stunned by the Favre trade, I have now grown used to seeing him under center and I've grown to like him as a player. As for Chad, he was one of my favourite Jets but that is fading now. However it works out with Favre I think Chad was on the way out of New York. What does still bother me is that Chad went to a divisional rival with NO COMPENSATION. The whole thing was ham-fisted in the extreme.
OK so can we subtract TDs from Chad's record? How the hell does that work? Why don't we just remove all of Chad's TDs because of the win over NE. Nuts...plain nuts.
but if he did, his record shows that he throws many PICK6's. In the past two years he has thrown 4 . He has one with Miami already! Several were dropped by the opposing team too.
