Well, it didn't take long. QB Michael Vick had a bad game against the Buffalo Bills, instantly prompting Rex Ryan to name QB Geno Smith a starter against the Dolphins on Monday Night. And so the circus, that is the 2014 New York Jets, continues to roll with new twists that just keep making this organization look more and more pathetic.
The Jets are 2-9, they are not going anywhere, except for a top five draft pick next year. If you don't believe in Vick, which is quite obvious, why not start QB Matt Simms for the rest of the season just to see what the kid is made of? It can't get any worse, can it? Although, according to the Daily News, Rex Ryan wanted Vick to continue being the starter, while GM John Idzik and owner Woody Johnson wanted Geno back.
Geno Smith has completed 57.6% of his passes this season, 7 TD, 10 INT with a QB rating of 67.4. He also had 6 fumbles. Last season Smith completed 55.8% of his passes, 12 TD, 21 INT with a QB rating of 66.5.
