The New York Jets re-signed LB Calvin Pace, who was the second best pass-rusher on the team last year, to a 2-year contract worth $5M. Pace, 33, was released by the Gang Green in February of 2013 but later re-signed to a league minimum 1-year contract that expired at the end of the season. Despite being the oldest starter on the Jets defense, Pace arguably had his best season, as he set a career-high with 10 sacks.
Pace, who hasn't missed a game in four years, is projected to start at the outside linebacker. According to ProFootballFocus, he had the fourth-highest pass-coverage grade among 3-4 outside linebackers last season.
