PK Nick Folk, who has not missed a field goal attempt all season, was named the AFC's Special Teams Player of the Week. He converted all four of his field goal tries, from 39, 21, 47 and 45 yards, during Sunday's win against the New Orleans Saints. Folk also had four kickoff touchbacks. This is the second time Folk wins the AFC Special Teams award this season. He also won it after hitting the game-winning field goal to defeat the Bucs on opening day.
Meanwhile, RB Chris Ivory has been nominated for the second time in three weeks for the FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week award. Ivory carried the ball 18 times for 139 yards, 1 TD against his former team, the New Orleans Saints. He also became the first Jet since the 1970 merger with three runs of 25-plus yards in the same game, and the first Jet since '70 with three runs of 20-plus yards in the same home game. Ivory already won this award earlier in the season when he had 34 carries for 109 yards against the Patriots.
