RB Shonn Greene, who spent his entire 4-year career with the New York Jets, has reportedly agreed to a 3-year $10M contract with the Tennessee Titans. The Jets drafted him in the 3rd round of the 2009 draft but he never really became a legitimate number one back to replace RB Thomas Jones. Greene rushed for 1,054 and 1,063 yards the last two seasons but hardly any showed any playmaking ability, averaging just 4.2 yards per carry over the course of his NFL career.
Now the Jets are left with RB Bilal Powell and RB Joe McKnight, who have a combined total of 960 career rushing yards. The Gang Green will most likely draft a running back and are also interested in Oakland's free agent RB Mike Goodson.
TE Dustin Keller is on the verge of signing with the Miami Dolphins. Reports suggest that Keller is undergoing physical and if he passes, he will sign with Miami.
The Jets, meanwhile, re-signed FB Lex Hilliard to a one year deal.
