S LaRon Landry, who was signed as a free agent earlier this year, has been activated from the PUP list and is ready to practice with the team. He has been rehabbing a nagging Achilles/heel injury that landed him on injured reserve last season and sidelined him for the team's mini-camp in June.
Also, CB Darrelle Revis reported Thursday morning to the team's facility in Florham Park, N.J., to take his physical for training camp. Revis faced financial penalties if he didn't show. He would have forfeited a $1 million reporting bonus and would have been fined $30,000 a day, under the terms of the CBA.
There also is a holdout deterrent clause in his contract: If he had been a no-show, another three years would have been added to his current deal -- for a total of only $9 million. He also may have exposed the $18 million option bonus he received last year by not reporting to camp.
