C Nick Mangold, OT D'Brickashaw Ferguson and CB Darrelle Revis were voted to the 2011 Pro Bowl. Mangold and Revis were selected as starters, while Ferguson is a backup. This is the third straight Pro Bowl selection for both Mangold and Revis. It's the second straight for Ferguson, who was originally an alternate in 2010 but added to the roster later.
Additionally, nine Jets players were named as alternates: LB David Harris (first), KR Brad Smith (second), CB Antonio Cromartie (second), TE Dustin Keller (second), RG Brandon Moore (third), DE Shaun Ellis (fourth), LB Calvin Pace (fourth), LB Jason Taylor (fourth) and RB LaDainian Tomlinson (fifth).
In other news, it looks like QB Mark Sanchez will start in the regular season finale against the Buffalo Bills. One possible reason for this is the fact that the Gang Green's offense has looked awful every time they had an extended layoff this season.
