The New York Jets signed LB Lance Laury, a special teams ace who has spent his entire career with the Seattle Seahawks. He joined Seattle in 2006 as an undrafted free agent and became their special teams captain. The 6'2", 237 lbs special teams standout recorded 21 tackles (15 solo) last season and forced one fumble while playing in every game.
Laury was one of the Seattle Seahawks best special teams players the last two seasons. He participated in 71.5 percent of all special teams plays for the team over that time period. For his career, Laury has posted 64 combined tackles and forced two fumbles.
Laury is expected to replace LB Larry Izzo, who suffered a spine injury last season.
