The New York Jets have traded their 2011 3rd round draft pick that could turn into a 2nd round pick to San Diego for CB Antonio Cromartie. Cromartie has one year left on his contract and there are no plans for his deal to be redone now.
Cromartie, who was an All-Pro in 2007, will team with CB Darrelle Revis, potentially forming the best cornerback tandem in the NFL. He will replace CB Lito Sheppard who was cut yesterday after a rather disappointing season.
Last season Cromartie started in all 16 games for the Chargers, recording 33 tackles (31 solo), 3 interceptions and defending 10 passes.
