According to the Daily News, the New York Jets appear to be interested in UFA RB Ahman Green from the Green Bay Packers. Green, 30, who has been hampered by injuries lately, gained 1,059 rushing yards in 14 games in 2006. He averaged 4.0 yards per carry and scored 5 touchdowns.
The Jets are also interested in DE Kenyon Coleman from the Dallas Cowboys. Coleman, 27, was a backup in Dallas but might be strong enough to start at DE in place of Kimo von Oelhoffen. Last season was Coleman's best thus far, as he recorded 4 sacks and 30 tackles.
The Gang Green are also looking to bring in a veteran QB to help with development of QB Kellen Clemens. Our old friend QB Vinny Testaverde just might be that guy. Will Vinny ever retire?
Update: Ahman Green has signed with the Houston Texans.
