On Monday the New York Jets waived QB Tory Woodbury who had been with the team since 2001. Last year the Jets tried him as a wide received, but that experiment failed and this summer Woodbury returned to his natural position at QB. He became expendable when rookie QB Brooks Bollinger clearly outplayed him during the first week of training camp.
