Former Jets OT Winston Hill has been selected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Hill was drafted by the Colts in 1963 but chose to go to the AFL instead and play for the Jets. He was the Jets starting left tackle when the Gang Green beat the Colts in Super Bowl III. Hill's streak of 174 consecutive starts and 195 consecutive games played was interrupted only by his retirement.
Winston Hill was selected to play in four AFL All-Star Games (194, 1967-69) and four Pro Bowls (1970-73). He was inducted into the New York Jets Ring of Honor in 2010.
Hill, who died in the spring of 2016 at the age of 74, will be inducted posthumously into the Hall of Fame next fall.
