It didn't take long for the Gang Green to find a replacement for departed CB Buster Skrine. The Jets signed CB Brian Poole, formerly of the Atlanta Falcons, to a 1-year $3.5M deal. He was a restricted free agent who wasn't tendered by his former team. Poole, 26, joined Atlanta as an undrafted free agent. He missed just one game in three seasons with the Falcons, starting in 21 games. Last season Poole picked off 3 passes and had 6 pass defenses. He also recorded 74 tackles (53 solo), 3 sacks and 4 tackles for loss.
Earlier today the Jets let go of RB Isaiah Crowell. Crowell, who spent just one season in green and white, became expendable with the addition of RB Le'Veon Bell. Last season Crowell set the Jets single game rushing record when he ran for 219 yards in Week 5 against the Denver Broncos. Unfortunately, it all went downhill for him from there on, as he never crossed the 100 yard mark again. Crowell finished the season with 685 rushing yards and 6 touchdowns.
