The New York Jets have reportedly agreed to terms on a 3-year contract with RB Isaiah Crowell of the Cleveland Browns. Crowell, 25, ran for 853 yards (4.1 yards/carry) last season and scored 2 rushing touchdowns. He also caught 28 passes for 182 yards. Over the course of his 4-year career Crowell has averaged 4.2 yards/carry and scored 21 rushing touchdowns.
Pro Football Focus graded Crowell as the #49 halfback in the NFL. Crowell is expected to compete for the starting job with RB Bilal Powell and RB Elijah McGuire after RB Matt Forte retired earlier this offseason.
Crowell is one of only six NFL running backs with at least 150 carries in each of the past two seasons to average 4.0 yards or more per carry.
In other news, TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins appears to be on his way out, as he can't reach an agreement with the Gang Green.
