The Jets have agreed to a 1-year $1.5M contract with veteran QB Joe Flacco. Flacco, 35, suffered a season ending neck injury last year and is expected to be available for non-contact work when training camp begins. If he does get healthy, he will serve as a solid backup behind QB Sam Darnold.
Jets GM Joe Douglas was Baltimore's scout when the Ravens drafted Flacco #18 overall in the 2008 Draft. Last season Flacco started in 8 games for Denver, throwing for 1,822 yards and 6 touchdowns.
Flacco's deal could grow grow to $4.5M with incentives.
