It looks like the wide receiver position might become the Gang Green's number one draft priority after all, as WR Robby Anderson has agreed to sign a 2-year deal for $20M with the Carolina Panthers. While it's a rather significant loss for the Jets, it unties GM Joe Douglas' hands and lets him build the team knowing that he doesn't have to allocate extra money to re-sign Anderson. The upcoming draft is full of quality receivers and the Jets should be able to replace Anderson.
Anderson, 26, signed with the Jets in 2016 as an undrafted free agent. He started in 8 games in his rookie year before becoming a full time starter in 2017 and notching his best season thus far - 63 receptions for 941 yards, 7 TDs. Last season Anderson caught 52 passes for 779 yards, 5TDs.
