It didn't take long for the Jets to find a short-term replacement for departed WR Robby Anderson. The Gang Green reached a 1-year agreement with WR Breshad Perriman, a former first round pick of the Baltimore Ravens. Perriman, 26, is a speedster who ran a 4.25 40-yard dash at his Pro Day in 2015. He missed his entire rookie campaign due to an injury and then had two disappointing years in Baltimore - 4 starts, 43 receptions for 576 yards, 3 TDs.
He started 2 games for the Browns in 2018 and then 4 games for the Bucs in 2019. Last season in Tampa was his career best. He caught 36 passes for 645 yards, 6 TDs, while participating in 57% of Tampa's offensive snaps.
Perriman's deal is a stop gap 1-year contract for $6M guaranteed that can potentially go up to $8M.
