The New York Jets parted ways with their former first round draft pick, S Calvin Pryor, as they traded him to the Cleveland Browns. In return, the Gang Green will receive LB Demario Davis, who spent the first four years of his career with the Jets before signing last year with the Browns as a free agent.
According to recent reports, Pryor was demoted down the depth chart, as the Jets placed their two rookies, S Jamal Adams and S Marcus Maye, with the first team. The Jets tried to trade Pryor unsuccessfully during the draft and then declined to pick up the 5th year option of contract.
Demario Davis had a pretty good season last year with the Browns. He played in all 16 games, registering 99 tackles (59 solo), 2 sacks and 1 forced fumble.
