The New York Jets have announced that they will open their 2015 preseason in Detroits against the Lions. Then, in preseason Week 2 head coach Todd Bowles will make his home debut against the Atlanta Falcons. The other two preseason games will be at MetLife Stadium as well - in Week 3 against the New York Giants and in Week 4 against the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Gang Green will be opening their preseason in Detroit for the second time in last three years. Their preseason record against the Lions is 2-3.
The annual preseason Battle of New York against the Giants will be a prelude to their regular season showdown. The Jets lead 24-21-1 in preseason but trail 4-8 in regular season against the crosstown rivals.
The Jets also lead preseason series against the Eagles, 22-14, winning seven of their last eight preseason home games against Philly. The Eagles, however, remain the only NFL team whom the Jets never defeated in regular season, 0-9.
The exact dates and times of preseason games will be announced later.
