The New York Jets have reportedly addressed another glaring hole in their roster, as they agreed to terms with OG James Carpenter of the Seattle Seahawks. Carpenter, who will turn 26 later this month, was drafted by Seattle in the first round of 2011 draft. He began his NFL career as right tackle and then switched to left guard. Last season he started in 13 games for the Seahawks.
Carpenter's durability is a big question mark, as he played an entire season only once in his NFL career. His rookie season was cut short due an ACL injury. He played in just 7 games in 2012 and missed 3 regular season games in 2014.
Free agency officially begins tomorrow at 4PM ET and the Gang Green are expected to make a run at CB Darrelle Revis who was let go by the Patriots yesterday.
