As the new NFL year began less than an hour ago, the New York Jets have reportedly reached an agreement with CB Buster Skrine. Skrine, 25, started in all 16 games last season for the Cleveland Browns, intercepting 4 passes. He's projected to replace departed first round bust RB Kyle Wilson.
Skrine, a former Browns' 5th round pick, will sign a 4-year contract worth $25M, which includes $13M in guaranteed money. He never missed a game in his 4-year NFL career.
The Jets are still expected to make a run at CB Darrelle Revis, who was let go by the Patriots.
