The New York Jets re-signed OG Willie Colon, who started all 16 games last year at the right guard. Colon, 30, joined the Gang Green last year on a one-year contract after being released by the Pittsburgh Steelers.
According to ProFootballFocus, Colon was ranked #36 last season among offensive guards. He was very good at pass blocking (4th best in the league), allowing only 1 sack and 3 quarterback hits. His run blocking, however, was pretty subpar, putting him at #59 among 81 NFL guards. He also had the league high 12 penalties among offensive guards.
Colon's new deal is reportedly for one year and worth around $2M.
