Jets TE Kellen Winslow has been suspended 4 games by the NFL for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances. He was suspended without pay, which means he will lose $197,647 in salary. Winslow, whom the Gang Green signed as a free agent before the start of this season, has a team-high 17 receptions for 169 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Winslow was the 6th overall pick in the 2004 draft by the Cleveland Browns, and made the Pro Bowl in 2007, when he had 82 catches for a career-high 1,106 yards and 5 touchdowns.
He has become the second Jets player suspended by the NFL this season. RB Mike Goodson was also banned for four games, for violating the NFL's policy and program for substances of abuse.
