CB Dee Milliner's holdout is over, as the Jets' top draft selection finally agreed to a 4-year deal after missing the team's first three practices of training camp. He's currently on his way to Cortland but will not be available for today's practice that's already under way.
Milliner is expected to compete with CB Kyle Wilson for the starting spot opposite CB Antonio Cromartie, vacated a few days before the draft when New York traded star cornerback CB Darrelle Revis to Tampa Bay.
Milliner's contract is reportedly worth $12.66M and is fully guaranteed. The Jets got offset language on the guarantees, but Milliner gets nearly all of his $7.588M signing bonus by Oct. 15. (A $250,000 payment was pushed to next year.) Milliner has minimum base salaries with preseason roster bonuses of $485,505 (2013), $971,010 (2014) and $1,456,424 (2015), $2,132,935 (2016).
